Rediscovering my Spanish roots

plus ultraLeón, Spain: For those who have followed my writing career since the 1970s, it won’t come as a surprise that I have embarked upon a new adventure: writing bilingual (English/Spanish) poetry books. In Philippine literature, although I am more known as a Roman Catholic priest who happens to be a poet writing in English, I have written poetry in Spanish and am closely identified with the writing triumvirate of Guillermo Gómez Rivera, Edmundo Farolán and Federico Licsi Espino Jr. These three Hispanists have argued in their writings for the preservation of the Spanish language in the Philippines. <<READ MORE>>
